Throw Down Your Heart, Tales from the Acoustic Planet, Vol. 3: Africa Sessions
By Béla Fleck

This month has been a whirlwind of poetry. I've been clicking away to this site, or that one, or checking out the ones recommended. It has been a journey. Poetry gives me an experience. As a lover of words, I admire those who can describe feelings, thoughts, or emotions while painting a picture for the mind's eye to see. As I read these amazing posts, I find my mind reeling as I consider the thoughts it evokes one by one. There are waves of movement in these words. Energy that has not identified itself until it rests on paper emerged from the heart of the poet. My thanks to all of you for the kaleidoscope of life you offer each day.
The Weekly Photo Challenge: Unidentified Objects Suggested by: Gitarezan brought me to this item:
When you look through either end, you get the kaleidoscope affect like the first three photos. Just as the poet shines and reflects what's around them, this quiet little item can too.

@menskeet - Keep turning that mind.
What fascinating kaleidoscope photos -- not sure I would have thought to shoot through the eye of the kaleidoscope! Nice post!
@slmret - Thank you. I have so much fun with these challenges.
kaleidoscope ...of words. I think that sums up poetry pretty darn well-esp what I've read on xanga.
good vibes...I love your photos! How cool is that (and, do I spy a hummingbird decal there?
)!
So many wonderful poets out there in Xangaland - I am trying to keep up with my in-box!

those are awesome pics! I love kaleidescopes. This has been an amazing journey; not just writing but reading. Such incredible talent out there!
@MooncatBlue - You've been busy flying banners over Brick's place too. hehehe. It has been wonderful.
@adventofreason - Thank you. I have enjoyed your flow too.
is that a kaliedoscope? or is it called by another name .. I've never seen one like it, before.
It is neat to see life through so many other people's eyes.

@jstickmann - Such a journey of expression to be found here.
@speraquodvereor - It's a kaliedoscope that I bought years ago from the artist herself at an art and crafts event. The outside is stained glass with whatever you point at becoming the pattern or art.
@jstickmann - I just got a thrillsville "A" ticket on your site. Thank you!
@Jaynebug - I just saw and your kindness left me in awe..I'm so glad you were thrilled by what you saw.. Happiness in the weekend to you!
@jstickmann - (tips hat) Right back to you my friend. Life spins on and on and on.
I've been enjoying the poetry too. Your writing is like poetry sometimes...like today. Peace

I kind of went into this with dread . . . but I can't deny it's been a lot of fun so far . . . and I am amazed at the talent I keep discovering . . . the new ways of looking at poetry . . . the new sources of beauty . . . just like your kaleidoscope . . .
I love these images my favorite kind of image in fact. My photos of the month have been water birds. Judi
