Have you ever seen a sundog? Here's your opportunity right here, right now. The sky's canvas lights up color that dances over clouds. Beautiful. Depending on the air movement, it can be there one minute, then gone the next. Opportunity can be that way.

@Jaynebug - It's been beautiful here for the last few days -- fog bank in early morning, moving out to warm/hot afternoons. If your weather is like that, Hearst Castle should be magnificent! What a fun event. I'm glad to be home now, for about a month. Had a good visit last week, and my mother seems to be settling in pretty well. I still hope to get up your way sometime, but home called louder this time!

@Jaynebug - Oh, no, I was only gone for 5 days last week -- but 2 weeks a month ago, and 5 days 2 weeks before that -- it seems like I live here, but only to be called away by family issues and on other people's schedules! My home is a little neglected at this point!

On those rare occasions, I have seen the sun dog and the halo around the moon. Both hold a rare beauty. The I believe the rarity enhances the beauty.
