We spend most of our time and energy in a kind of horizonal thinking. We move along the surface of things, but there are times when we must stop. We sit still. We lose ourselves in a pile of leaves or its memory. We listen and breezes from a whole other world begin to whisper. - James Carroll
Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop. - Ovid (43 BC -17 AD)

that cat looks like he's more than resting - he is flat flopped out!
@rnjennison - In the zone.
The cat has reached his pinnacle of total relaxation, lolol~!
You, too, lovey!
I really could use a rest. I hope you find some rest and relaxation.
The kitten looks so soft. Wonderful words, thanks for sharing :)

Sometimes I feel guilty because I think I relax too much! Oh well, it gives me a chance to hear the whispers of those breezes! (That cat is too darn cute!)
I just spent a week and a half listening to that breeze. It was lovely
I want to relax like that cat!
Is that your cat?!? He's so adorable sprawled out like that :)
That isn't just relaxation - it is complete trust in the loving hands that hold him. Gotta believe I'm held in the palm of His hand - so I too can relax in trust.
"Horizontal thinking" - interesting concept. I am taking myself to bed. Tomorrow I'm going to try and do some vertical thinking. Peace
I am sitting on my balcony with my laptop, and the bug zapper on, listening to the sounds of the night river.
@Cynsjrl - I just love the possibilities ahead.
@BianchiStreet - Um hm.
@mr_randyc - Visualize what that looks like, Mr Cman. It is amazing what relaxation lies waiting for us inside.
@MICHELECANNON29 - This cat has been nurtured by a woman that knows cats and kindness. She gives them "the Life" and they respond in Zen like manner. Such an example of the possibilities.
@youandwhosearmy - YES! Rest......
@llibra - (nods silently) Thanks L. It will be.
@speraquodvereor - (tips hat)
@heart_beep - Ah yes. The opportunity to hear.
@Just_Keep_Grinning - Yes!
@AnamcharaConcepts - He is the essence of calm and loving energy.
@ilovegoaliesplits - He is a friends cat. He is so sweet and calm and soft, you can't help but feel good for having been with him.
@murisopsis - Yes!
@shellisland - (pats heart and points to you again) Breathe deep sweets.
@stixandstonz - Nice. Have a soothing sound filled evening.
didn't he write Alice in Wonderland? so he's weird to start with.
Funny cat. lol! Riding_Hood
Great cat pic!
It looks like the cat is involved in one of those " trust " exercises where you fall back and someone CATches you.
@Jillycarmel - I consider wierd a compliment and I'm sure Mr. Carroll would too.
@Riding_Hood - @BigToePeople - Thank you. So relaxed.
@gnostic1 - Exactly so. no CATch to it! All trust in what is.
